Nanowar changes

Dear fans, friends, metalheads and haters.
2020 has been a particularly hard year for whom – just like us – chose to make a living out of music.
We don’t want to compare our troubles to those of who had to suffer the consequences of the epidemics first-hand, however, problems are still problems regardless of their size and rank.
And sooner or later you need to face them.

We’re getting close to the 40 years old threshold and after so many years in the music industry we have to face the fact that – despite the growth we experienced in the last years and an important record deal with Napalm Records – metal and heavy music in general cannot give us the kind of financial sustainability our lives require at this stage.

If you follow us on social media, you should already be aware of the fact that we have announced a radical change of direction our music will take. We can now state that this change means our new style will be considerably lighter and oriented towards a broader audience.
We’re sorry to put this in these terms – which might sound way too cold and materialistic – but we want to make things clear before our fans and all those who, in the last years, supported us for what we were, a parody METAL band.

However, this does not mean that the irony and irreverence that has always been part of our music will disappear. On the contrary, they’ll be always at the core of a style aimed for the public at large and might allow us, one day, to make a decent living thanks to the music we make.
On this new way, we swapped some of the roles within the band, with Mohammed Abdul taking the lead singer role, Mr. Baffo on the keys and Potowotominimak becoming Mauro Repetto.

Alongside our music, our image and band logo changed, too. The latter, in particular, has been redrawn taking inspiration from a famous Finnish pop band.

With our new music, new projects and new energy we are aiming at climbing the charts, going to Sanremo, join the Eurovision and – first and foremost – conquer the hearts of those who do not know the band we mocking when we sing “By sunlight we ride, ten thousand side by side”.
We hope that who followed us to this point might at least understand our reasons even if in disagreement. We hope you will have the patience to give us a chance along the new path our lives will take.
